Nassau County Red Light Cameras Adds New Photo Enforced Spots

Nassau County Red Light Cameras

New Nassau County red light cameras have been setup for the new year at these locations

Hewlett:    Peninsula Boulevard and Mill Road

New Hyde Park:    New Hyde Park Road and Marcus Avenue

This brings the total to about 50 cameras in nassau with 40 in suffolk county. There are no reports as to how effective these are and how much administration costs are incurred by these devices.

Each year within the states, over 800 individuals are killed and most 200,000 hurt in accidents including red light running. Of those casualties, most are people in other automobiles or are new people on the streets. Accidents engendered by red light running achieve astonishing proportions, too, amounting to a lot more than $150 billion in medical and emergency bills, productivity loss, and property destruction.
